When I bought my Adirondack chair a few years back, I had no clue that I would get bored of its look in as little as three years. The same stands true for my remaining outdoor furniture. When I peer out of the window in the mornings, I feel that maybe I ought to replace it. It looks too old and monotonous. That was when I head of outdoor cushions. Outdoor cushions are replacement cushions for all kinds of outdoor furniture. It includes patio cushions, chair cushions and chaise lounge cushions as well. The best thing to do when you get bored of the same old look is to replace the cushion or cushion cover. A friend of mine once happened to ask me, why not simply remove the cushion and leave the outdoor furniture without one? Well, that is not such a bad idea if you have quality wooden furniture. But what if your furniture has a wrought iron frame or a cast iron one for that matter? Well, then it is not going to be very comfortable sitting on it leave alone reclining.

Cushion fabrics

I have seen many people buy cheap quality outdoor furniture cushions. But over a period of time, they start fading. The bright hues turn dull and very soon they start tearing near the seams. They also get stained very easily and washing outdoor cushion covers is one of the most difficult things to do. Hence, outdoor cushions need to be extremely durable and weather resistant. It also needs to be stain resistant and fade resistant. They also need to fit extremely well over all kinds of patio furniture that you may have. There are several fabrics and materials that are used to make these cushions. So when you choose a cushion, enquire about its resistance properties. Keep the above factors in mind and make a wise and precise decision.
