I’m Lucky that I found these!,
I found these on Amazon, and the reviews were very helpful. I love them! perfect amount of light, I only wanted them to provide low light and look cool. I got both. EASY to install. I didnt want a power supply either, I have a large transformer and I want everything to turn on/off at the same time. So I cut off the end plug and hardwired it into my system. If you do this yourself just make sure you waterproof your splice. I spliced the wires together, taped them, then I put my splice into a small coin bag and then filled that with sillicone. I doubt water will get to that. I might by some more just to have on hand in case any of the lights go bad and I can replace them. BUY THESE you wont regret it.

|Fantastic lights… great price!,
I own a hotel in Phoenix where we had 84 LED lights surrounding the pool, and over time and high heat the blue LEDs started failing. I’ve been looking for replacements for a very, very long time, and after ordering different types of lights to test out, I settled on these.
They’ve installed rather easily, the price couldn’t be better at just $7 or so each! The last lights I put into the pool deck were almost $140/ea in 2007… and I have 84 of these fixtures! So, I had my maintenance staff take these fixtures and install them and they’re working wonderfully.
Two things:
1) I didn’t need the power supplies, so I feel that’s a bit of a waste – I wish the lights were sold separately from the power supplies.
2) I don’t think we need power supplies any more – all of these lights should be solar, just with much higher wattage diodes. I’ve purchased some of the solar deck lights available here on Amazon – they’re GREAT but the diameter was larger than the existing holes I have in concrete. Remember, with solar you don’t need wiring, power supplies, electric bills, code inspections, permits, etc., etc.

I put in a new deck and wanted to add some built-in lighting. For obvious reasons, LED was the only logical choice. Every other option I considered except this one was prohibitively expensive. Basically, this set of six lights was about the same price as each individual light in other offerings. It took four sets to provide a nice set of border lights on my deck and stairs. I bought two more to have replacements in case of light failure in the future. Each set of lights includes its own transformer and even a drill bit for the right size hole. Since installing these lights early in December 2011, and finding a good, reliable Intermatic outdoor timer, these lights have performed flawlessly. At first I thought their one-inch size might be a little small, but it turns out to be the perfect size for an attractive border that doesn’t overwhelm. This has been an excellent product for an excellent price and I am very pleased.
