Master Mark # 95340 5inch Edging,
This edging was much less expensive at $19.95 for a 40 ft roll than the Ultra Edge 5.375 inch edging available at Home Depot for $29.95 for only 20 ft. I have used both
and there is LITTLE DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY. Both are flexible and easy to form circular shaped edging. By ordering 2 rolls through Amazon.com it qualified for FREE Shipping! However the stakes that come with either of these products are too light to be durable. I discarded the stakes and used only COL-MET brand Model # 14SS stakes that are very sturdy and can be bought at Home Depot or Lowe’s for $2.28 each.

|Easy to use, does what it is supposed to do,
I installed two lengths of this to keep in shredded tire mulch that we poured around our swingset. It works well and is much more attractive than the black stuff that seemed to be the only choice for years. It is much moee inexpensive than landscape timbers, and easier on the body for a little kid if they fall on it. Fairly easy to work with – I unrolled it in the yard and let it sit for a day so it wouldn’t try to coil back up when I installed it, and a square edged shovel worked fine to cut a trench. Buried about 1/3 of it and it’s doing well several weeks later.
—update two years later—
The edging is holding up quite well. It pulled out a little but I just retrenched it and it’s doing fine. I’ve used a weed whacker up against it and it doesn’t twitch. My kid stomps on it and trips sometimes but it’s not sharp edged, and holds up to this and the elements very well so far.

|Excellent budget edging.,

I just picked up 3 rolls of this to edge my back yard. Using it to define flower-beds with pine straw against a lawn. It is thicker than I expected and appears to be of good quality. Since it is 5″ tall I used a 2″ deep trench to lay the edging in initially. To save you big money on stakes (they’re more expensive than the edging!) here’s a tip. Buy a bundle of the 5 foot wooden stakes you can pick up at HD or Lowes for $2 each. Cut each of these stakes into 5, one foot sections. Add a v to the end of each piece. You get 50 12″ stakes for $20! Pick up 3/4″ deck screws and hammer the stakes behind the edging and screw though the edging into the stakes. Looks great and rock solid.
Overall highly recommended, MUCH nicer than the generic black edging you see everywhere and cheaper too!
